Sovrapittura
The sovrapittura (overpainting) consists in the artist’s interviewing graphically or pictorially on a poster that is intact or has been torn previously, using acrylic colors.
The first exhibition devoted to this group of works was Rotella. Sovrapitture 1986, held at the Galleria Niccoli in Parma from 19 April 1986.
